There really is no change for Charlotte today. She's doing ok, back up to 7cc's of breastmilk now. I did notice, which I didn't before, that every now and then her heart rate drops. They are watching her and thinking they want to give her albeuterol, but they can't on the vent she's on. I guess they are less frequent, but like I said, I've never noticed it at she did it at least 5 times tonight. It really sucks because for every step forward you take 2 back. I had a really hard time leaving her tonight. I just want her safe and at home already.
I did get to change her diaper, check her temp and put her lotion on today. I loved massaging the lotion into her and I think she liked it as well. It made my heart melt to be able to rub her like that. You really can't rub a preemie because their skin is so thin and sensative. Her midnight nurse, Rachel, whom is her same nurse tonight made her a cute little hat. It's a tad big, but I don't care it's so cute! She made one for her other little boy patient too. I love how the nurses make stuff for the babies. It's very touching. Well at least a couple of the nurses we've gotten have. I want to learn how to do hats so bad so I can make them and donate them to the NICU. Here's a pic of Miss Charlotte with her new hat :) Her body looks 2 different colors, but it justs the lighting she really doesn't look like that. The color around her face is closer to her color.
