What an experience!

We took Sug to see his baby sister today and it was priceless!  Our nurse was so accomodating to him.  He asked if he could "pet" his baby sister lol.  So we let him touch her, not rub (aka pet lol), but you can just lay your hand or finger on her and man you shoulda seen his face light up.  Especially when we put his finger in her hand and she gripped it.  Charlotte always responds to him, it's amazing.  He also got to hold her syring that hand her breast milk in while the tube fed it to her belly.  She's up to 4cc's and it will be increased to 5 at her next feeding which is at 9.  They feed her every 3 hours.  So far she has tolerated them well, meaning she hasn't spit up, her belly hasn't gotten hard, etc.

I was also excited because I got to take her tempature AND change her diaper. YAY!  I was so scared!  The nurse said she tolerated my diaper changing really well.  Whether or not she just said that to boost my self esteem I don't now, but I'll take it lol.

So there's been some talk of infection.  They have tested her secretions in her chest tube and it has come back negative.  YAY again!  I think they are just waiting for one more and hopefully that comes back negative.  They did have her on 2 antibotics and removed one so far.  She is on very little morphine that they are gonna try to start to ween her from, but the tubes really aggitate her so that's really there only concern cuz she likes to pull them out.  She pretty much holds on to the tubes all day lol.  Probably thinking, "just get me off the morphine and I'm yanking" lol.  I tell ya, once I can hold her I'll probably never leave the hospital lol.

Great day!  Keep the prayers coming, she seems to be holding her own right now :)
