Shew, I feel like every post is so negative, but then again this isn't exactly a positive experience. First an update on Miss Charlotte. She had a second chest tube put in because the one she had in is for the air going into her lungs. There was air building up on the outside of her lung making it not function properly so the second one takes the oxygen outside of her lung out. Today she had lots of visitors, Grammy (my mom), Great Grandma Geri, Aunt Mary, Aunt Wendy, cousin Alessandra and of course mommy, daddy and big brother. Big Brother can NOT wait to get his little sister home. He loves her so much already and talks about her often. Her blood pressure is on the low side so they are monitoring her to see if they'll need to put her meds back up for that. Remember just a few days ago they came down on it. She is on 25% oxygen today. \
Now for my update. I did a follow up visit to my doctor after my ER visit yesterday. She's not 100% on what my deal is yet. She wants to rule out a uterine infection, but honestly I don't think that's what it is. The only symptom I have of that is the pain. I would also have an odor/yellowish discharge from the vagina and a fever. In addition to upping my vicodin, which I think I'm gonna put myself back on 1 instead of 2 cuz no matter how I take them I get an upset stomach, she also put me on a strong antibotic. She said if it is indeed an infection I should see improvement by Wednesday, but either way I have to go back to see her Thursday. It was either that or she wanted to admit me and get antibotics in an IV and welp I think I've paid my hospital dues for a while. IF it's not an infection it is indeed nerve entrapment. Not too much info online about it, so before I panic about getting a nerve block or anything I'll wait and see what Wednesday brings me.
I did find out today that she qualifies for SSI, which is great! It's only $30, but that will pay for half of the breast pump rental I have to do monthly. Everything little bit helps at this point. Darnell has to take off of work ALOT and it's all unpaid. I think it's going to get more stressful with financial issues soon. blah! I think it's time to start thinking of fundraisers.
